At our last PG social, PG students suggested we start an occasional film screening series. The idea is to watch a film and then have a discussion about questions it raises around our themes—and anything else people want to talk about. Our first film screening is a feature about lives of young men in the banlieues of Paris: La Haine. It was suggested by Andreas Zaunseder, and he will kick off the discussion after the film. We will also be providing pizza and beer, so please RSVP if you plan to join us, so we know how much to buy (and send us a note if you have any dietary restrictions we should know about).
If you’d like to suggest a film for future screening, let us know. Features, documentaries, shorts, historical, contemporary—anything goes, as long as you think it would be of interest and we have a copy available in the Library, or one can be obtained.
